Exclusive Public Ghost Hunt at the Haunted Heritage Museum
The museum occupies a site steeped in history, nestled in the ancient and atmospheric Forest of Dean!
The main building is an old corn mill with a millpond, waterwheel and mining cottage. Boasting five galleries telling the history of the Forest of Dean, exhibits include local history, traditions and industry such as coal and iron mining, forestry, timber, stone working, clock making and a Victorian Classroom.
The many locally sourced items held at the museum carry a resonance of their own, including clothing, footwear, tools and machinery, setting the scene as you walk the old corridors and rooms of the mill. Photographs of miners and foresters stare back at you as if willing to share their stories.
Outside, the Foresters’ cottage is filled with original items from the Victorian and Edwardian period and will send a chill down your spine. Dimly lit even in the daytime, it’s shaded windows, chilly stone walls and musty furnishings are ready to tell you tales of the past.
Light anomalies, dragging noises and unexplained hits on a K2 meter have been reported here. This location has many tales to tell. We are privileged to have access and can’t wait for you to join us to find out what spirit activity is here.
